Planning to keep various projects here so that they don’t get lost in the stream of consciousness that is the blog. I’d like to keep this place a little organized. My most commonly used paints are the Mini Paints from Vallejo and the Citadel washes for finishing.

The Gemstone Dragons from the Strongholds and Followers Kickstarter is one of the larger projects I’ve worked on in a while. Also one thing that I sat on for a long time cause I didn’t want to mess them up. Had to suck it up though since there is another dragon in the Kingdoms and Warfare stuff so I had to set myself to finish these before I could order the new one.
Paints that I used. Primer: Gesso (I know it’s not the most common but its cheap and worked out just fine). Base Layers: Vallejo mini paints, I like these since they come in a squeeze bottle making them easy to mix. Shading: Citadel Nuln Oil, one good thing is Citadel has lots of good technical stuff to play with and shades make things look awesome with not a ton of effort. Shiny Stones: Turbo Dork metallic paints, now I was super excited to use these on this project cause they just look super cool and fit the theme so well.

As the collection grows more must be painted! Much of what I have are preprinted plastics that were bought in mystery boxes. Now I’m getting more unpainted pieces so the collection grows a bit slower.
